As a fiction and commercial cinematographer, my passion for storytelling stems from the authenticity of documentaries. Recently, I embarked on a captivating expedition to depict the Polestar 5, a concept car pushing the boundaries of automotive design and performance.
Our journey kicked off at the Arctic Circle, amidst the pristine landscapes of Finland. Battling sub-zero temperatures, we braved the elements to capture the Polestar 5 against the backdrop of snow-covered ice tracks. It was a true test of endurance for our small team, me and director Alana, the car and the equipment. However, every challenge we encountered along the way became an opportunity to showcase adaptability and resourcefulness.
From there, we embarked on a voyage, navigating diverse terrains and climates to capture the car in its natural habitat. One memorable moment occurred during high-performance brake testing in Austria's majestic Alps. Despite facing technical mishaps and unexpected setbacks, we remained resilient and adaptable. For instance, on our first day in the Alps, our drone vanished into the abyss of hidden military installations. Thanks to the swift assistance of a local Austrian drone pilot, we managed to secure a replacement within hours.
