CINEMATOGRAPHER - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Ever since I visited my first film set at the age of 7, I ´ve known what I wanted to do. That feeling of magic that still fills any set today is what fuels my passion to Cinematography and our industry.
For me, a great Cinematographer/Director of Photography is the directors ”right hand” to tell and visualize the film, a problem solver and, as their chief, ahead and on top of my camera and light team. I take great pride of being well prepared for any project.
As a Cinematographer my duty is to comprise all on-screen visual elements, including lighting, framing, composition, camera motion, camera angles, format selection, lens choices, depth of field, zoom, focus, color, exposure, and filtration. I have more than 15 years of industry knowledge to solve problems, enhance the films style and keeping up with the given budget.
I went straight from Film school and worked my way through all the important duties, i.e clapper loader,1st AC, focus puller, spark, gaffer through editing, sound and grade to my first short as DoP. I never regret these often-hard duties on set that only enrich my knowledge for the process of film making.
I´ve done quite a few films during my years in the film business, including high-end commercials for IKEA, drama series for Swedish Television and award-winning documentaries.
Being known for my calmness on set is actually my way of staying focused and delivering the visual depths that my director and producer aims for as well as keeping the production happy.
If you are my next director, producer, camera or production team collaborator, let´s meet up now. I would love to hear your next story!
I shoot and operate 35mm film and all current Digital formats, i.e Arri Alexa, RED, Varicam35, Sony CineAlta/Venice, Canon CinemaEOS.
